Let’s test the strength of bead locks bolts! You’ll see how strong our bolts are vs other brands!
This test will eliminate all the claims and false information you hear.
Here’s how to do it:
- Install a BRAND NEW (not used) bead lock bolt from any manufacturer into your wheel.
- Run it down manually without an impact
- Now use a short torque wrench like our Smith Ti model (https://www.smithti.com/product/smith-ti-torque-wrench-3-8/ ) and torque to 15 ft lbs.
- Continue to torque in 5 lb increments until the bolt breaks. Take note of at what foot lbs your bolt broke. You will be impressed with our strength!
If you’re having problems with bead lock bolts breaking, comparing the strengths of different bead lock bolts available will help and will also show you your impact is getting way over 35 ft lbs.
We recommend a 12V battery driver (like the Milwaukee 2402-20) for install and our short torque wrench for final torque of 20 ft lbs. The 18v and 24v impacts can go as high as 75 ft lbs instantly or more. Long handled torque wrenches and digital torque wrenches are not good for this application either.
Let’s hear your results!
