1. 1’’ or 7/8 master cylinder (depending on brake pedal ratio)
  2. Residual Valve not recommended!
  3. -3 hose size is a must, from master cylinder to the Rear Caliper (-2 hose is too small and restricts the piston retraction causing excessive heat to the pads and rotor.

We do stock -3 Car Line kits

  4. We also recommend a spring from the foot peg of the brake pedal to the floor pan. Recommended 1” of tension on the spring. The spring on the master cylinder is not enough to keep the driver from riding the brakes.

We do stock spring kits, and one is included in every brake kit.

  5. Brake pedal location, measuring from the rear motor plate to the center of the foot peg, should be no more than 6’’!
I recommend 5-1/2, this is so your leg can rest, and not hold pressure on the pedal.
  6. Although we recommend the 7/8 SmithTi master cylinder with our standard brake system, if you are using the Black Wilwood master cylinder, please cut a 1/8 – 1/4 slot in the “bellow style” rubber under the cap, this can lead to problems by covering the feed holes at the cylinder internally. We also stock master cylinders and billet reservoirs for the Brembo, AP, and Wilwood.
  7. Every caliper is pressure tested and every piston is measured for retraction back into the bore after releasing the pedal before being sold. We have slightly less retraction compared to other manufacturers; this means a stiffer pedal!! So, if your pedal is spongy, you have air trapped. If you’re having issues bleeding, please see the “easy bleed” instructions.
