Sprint Car Complete Titanium BIG BRAKE System – The “BOB”
Short for “Big Ol’ Boy,” the BOB is our most advanced sprint car brake system to date. We’ve said it before, but it’s worth repeating: this is our best sprint car brake system yet.
What’s Different:
The inboard caliper has wider slots to match the .625 wide rotor. The most important thing about this caliper is that it’s bigger which means stiffer. The stiffness creates two important things: more even pad wear thus providing a better pedal feel for the driver. With this system, you can say goodbye to brake fade and overheating and say hello to shorter stops and longer pad life. This is a radial mount caliper, making it easier to take off the car to bleed.
As with our other brake systems, the 7075 billet aluminum calipers are coated with a special black coating that resists fading from chemical cleaners and also eliminates any wear in the bores of the caliper. The calipers come standard with all titanium fittings and bolts.

The heart of the system is a titanium (6AL4V) inboard rotor designed for ultimate performance. Key features include:

1 – 12.200″ x .625 titanium rotor with vented rotor technology (weight = 3.98 lbs)
1 – splined centrifugal fan brake rotor hub – includes all titanium hardware
1 – Inboard BIG Radial Mount Brake Caliper
2 – 7/16 – 14 x 1-3/8 reduced hex titanium bolt – drilled for tie wire (for caliper to rear)
2 – sets inboard brake pads (2 pads each)
1 – rear inboard brake line with banjo and straight fittings – 24-1/2″ hose length
1 – Left Front Rotor (10.875 diameter)
1 – Left Front Brake Caliper
1 – Left Front Mounting Bracket
2 sets – left front brake pads (2 pads each)
3 – 1/2 – 20 x .700 countersunk titanium bolts (for rotor to hub)
